Where can your journalism skills take you? Three former journalists and current government communication officers discussed how to transfer television skills into the public affairs field.
‘From Journalism to Anywhere‘ created by Michaela N. Vincent, former network media manager – virtually gathered media professionals from all around the world to strategize, offer advice and explain how to market yourself during a career transition.
This conversation included: Venton Blandin, former television reporter and Caitlin Jett, former local newspaper staff writer.
“Local tv and network tv completely set me up for this role… my journalism background is a total advantage. This position is a highly skilled position and you [need] certain skills and qualifications to do this job effectively,” Vincent told her virtual audience.
