Facebook company announces new name and $150-million investment to train next generation of creators

The social media world is always evolving and Facebook’s new announcement has people glued to their phones.

On Thursday, October 28, during the Connect 2021 Conference Facebook announced all of their companies will now fall under one umbrella called, Meta. Meta will provide people a way to work, operate their businesses and connect while staying in the comfort of their own home. During the conference, a brief visual was shown on how people can have 3D Virtual Meetings with co-workers – while only stepping feet away from their bedroom.

Now with new technology comes new training and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a $150-million investment in immersive learning to equip the next generation of creators, per the press release. Many questions arose about if Facebook will change its name, but according to the company it will remain the same.
