‘Girlfriends’ star Reggie Hayes talks about new projects and acting career | LookWeAreIncluded.com

Reggie Hayes, also known as William Dent, in the popular show Girlfriends is making a comeback in the acting world. Hayes, 52 spoke with Kamara Daughtry from LookWeAreIncluded.com about his early stages in acting.

Hayes said his acting career started off by memorizing lines from television shows, then he entered into a theater program in high school. Once he realized this was his passion he started putting in the ground work.

“I worked real hard, went to Illinois State University and [graduated] in 91.’ I moved back home to Chicago and did plays and theater. Then in ’95 I moved to Los Angeles to do a play.

He recalls landing his role of William Dent after about four auditions then started working. As an NAACP Image Award winner, Hayes was recognized as an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series on the hit series Girlfriends in 2007.

With over 58,000 followers on Instagram he keeps his audience entertained and updated with his new projects. ” In the movie “Holiday Hideaway. I play the stepdad of beautiful “Sistas” actress Novi Brown. What a talented young woman,” he wrote on his Instagram post. 

Hayes told us he’s still auditioning and plans on being in more films furthering his career.
