Marlisa Goldsmith has been named the new morning anchor for Fox 35 Orlando, WOFL-TV.
Goldsmith announced the exciting news on her Linkedin page.
“I’m so excited to officially be a part of the FOX 35 Orlando, WOFL-TV team! It’s been a great week so far,” said Goldsmith.
According to Linkedin, Goldsmith is a Maryland native who received her Bachelor’s degree in Media Communications from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and she is an award winning storyteller at KTHV-TV, a CBS affiliate in Little Rock, AR. She also earned a Regional Emmy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for her contribution in coverage of the Pittsburgh water emergency and she’s a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

- KRBC-TV as a News Reporter from 2011-2013
- THV11 as a Reporter/ Weekend Morning Anchor from 2013-2016
- WPXI-TV as a Anchor/ Reporter from 2016- 2019
- THV11 as a Evening Anchor from 2019-2022
In addition, Goldsmith has also traveled the world covering stories such as the Ferguson shooting and killing of Michael Brown, the kidnapping and murder of real estate agent Beverly Carter, historic flooding in Columbia, South Carolina and the aftermath of deadly Arkansas tornados.
In her new role at WOFL-TV, Goldsmith will be on air Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7- 10 a.m with the Good Day Orlando morning team.
