Grant, a 15-year veteran of the ABC news company, got her start there in 2012 as a news producer for 6ABC WPVI-TV Philadelphia where she moved up the ranks, and ultimately landed her latest role.
According to tvnewscheck.com, “Grant will be responsible for new community outreach efforts and growing existing relationships with organizations in the market. The station says she will “align news, programming, marketing and talent with cause-related events and campaigns and leverage opportunities to have efforts supported by advertisers.”
The Augusta Georgia native, earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in journalism, with a concentration on broadcast news from the University of Georgia.
Grant has showcased her love for journalism in multiple ways that exceed her professional achievements by being a mentor for young journalists, and joining organizations such as the National Association of Black Journalists, the Online News Association and the Journalism and Women’s Symposium.
Grant’s new leadership role is right on track for her career path as she is the former leader and producer of a team of multimedia journalists who’s goal was to voice the importance of representation in the media and cultural awareness in content creation.
